Dont judge kryptonite by skin colour alone
Kryptonite is a top class watermelon with exceptional flavour.
The fruit is very dense so that whilst fruit may appear to be smaller than other varieties the fruit weight is still typically 9-12kg.
This aspect should have the added benefit to retailers in that it gives greater return on shelf than some competitor varieties.
From a growers perpective Kryptonite has shown good yields and has also shown to be less sensitive to sunburn than some alternative varieties.
Don’t judge Kryptonite by skin colour alone.
Kryptonite is a striped Triploid melon, the fruit are exceptional quality and very presentable wether marketed as whole fruit, cut portions or used in fresh cut fruit salads etc.
In Western Australia Kryptonite has been successfully marketed into the cut melon market and continues to have great success, skin colour is not an issue as consumers do not make their selection based on skin colour.
As the Australian market for fresh cut and processed melons continues to develop further and consumers continue to increase demand for ready to eat melons and fruit salads Kryptonite should continue to be at the forefront of these market sectors. The flesh of Kryptonite also presents very well, it is intense red and crisp.

Sampson is the first in a series of new Hybrid Pumpkins coming out of
the ENZA breeding programme.
Outstanding skin & flesh colour
Sampson is proving its worth to growers around the country. The variety has excellent skin colour and it’s lightly ribbed skin surface makes Sampson ideal for processing because this leads to higher recovery rates and easier processing.
Sampson also has excellent internal qualities. The flesh is a deep orange colour and coupled with this is a small seed cavity.
Outstanding versatility & yield
Sampson is proving to be extremely versatile in where it can be grown - our trials are delivering consistent high quality fruit
and yields throughout Australia. The vigour associated with Hybrid varieties is coming to the fore and giving growers
exceptional results.
Sampson also provides exceptional yield potential - the high shoulders enhance it’s fruit weight which is typically 5-7kg.
Outstanding resistance
Virus resistance in Pumpkins is becoming an issue with many growers. Sampson has intermediate resistance to Zucchini Yellow Mosaic Virus, Watermelon Mosaic Virus and Papaya Ringspot Virus. This combination allows Sampson to perform at its best under pressure and delivers high yields of exceptional quality fruit.
Outstanding storage & shipping
Sampson also has good storage and shipping characteristics which is allowing growers, market agents and
retailers to make the most out of the variety which we are sure will become a market standard in the years ahead.
